This May, for the third consecutive year (gasp!), I’m thrilled to announce a special partnership with my local chapter of the Cancer Support Community. Drumroll, please…

Quiltlove is donating a FREE quilt to be given away as a Hope Walk raffle prize.

Cancer Support Community

About the Cancer Support Community

The Cancer Support Community (CSC) is a nonprofit organization that provides free comprehensive support programs for people facing cancer. Their programming includes counseling, support groups, nutrition, exercise, emergency financial assistance and patient education programs, as well as special programs for teens and children. Their San Francisco/Bay Area chapter offers programs in-person in Walnut Creek, CA and Antioch, CA and virtually, as well in English and Spanish. They are the real deal and we’re so lucky to have them in our community.

About the Hope Walk

The Hope Walk is one of CSC’s annual fundraisers. This year, it’s aiming to raise $250,000 to support the organization’s operations. The walk itself is on May 20 and loops around the beautiful Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek. It is a great way to get some fresh air and exercise and connect with members of this special community. Wheelchairs, strollers, and friendly dogs on leashes are welcome at the event. Can’t make it on the 20th? You can also participate virtually!

About the Giveaway

To win our free custom quilt, you must be a registered Hope Walk participant and attend the in-person event. Upon check-in, collect your raffle tickets and head on over to the raffle table to enter to win some incredible prizes. Look for the Quiltlove fishbowl and deposit those tickets! The raffle drawing will occur following the walk, around 11:30 am. You must be present to win.

The free quilt can include up to 17 custom squares and be made in any of our beautiful palettes, or custom colors. Good luck one and all, and happy walking.

I love this community partnership because the people at the Cancer Support Community are so inspiring. Their events are also a fun, healthy way to help them help others. Unfortunately, I cannot attend in person this year due to a very important little boy’s baseball playoff game, but I will be there in spirit. I can’t wait to connect with the lucky winner.

As always, thanks for reading!

Warmly,
